I used to think that customer service (basically anywhere, offline or online) is all the same, bad. I basically just gave up all hope of finding good customer service anywhere, if I phoned up a company and managed to reach someone who spoke English, I was satisfied.
There is one arena however that I’m not so forgiving and that is when it comes to internet casino sites. I’m a big gambler. I love to play online and while I win a lot of money, I also spend a lot of money and I feel that you should get what you pay for.
There are some times when it’s not even necessary to contact a customer support representative but normally when you need to, you need a competent one who is friendly and patient. Internet casino sites normally understand that in order to deposit, sometimes players have to jump through hoops and spend a lot of their own time organizing alternative payment methods (when credit cards are blocked for example) because the company understands that it’s not the player’s fault.
When it comes to an internet casino, customer support extends beyond just general assistance, it also means what kind of chat reps or in Bingo for example the chat moderators. It also covers the VIP representatives and this is a big are of business for these internet casino sites and it’s important that they hire the right people.
Personally, I think that if you come across a bad representative, as a member of the internet casino community at large, you should feel responsible to report him or her or at least talk about it on a large forum. Casinos can’t monitor everything and it’s important that customer service be at the highest level of excellence in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
No one is perfect and everyone has an off day, but inconsistent bad service from an online casino shouldn’t be tolerated. Plus, there are so many online casinos that we as customers have other options should we come across a “lemon.”
